From the Publisher...
Once upon a time in ancient Egypt there ruled Pharoah Tut-ken-Strich with his vassal Sinhaue. They both did not particularly care for the wellbeing of their folk and wer thus not very popular. The Egyptians turned more and more to the gods! Therefore the twelve priests each of thwom served his favourite god - wer most respected by the people. Eventually the gods showed some understanding and allowed Pharaoh Tut-ken-Stich to return home. His grave, a pyramid, is about to be completed. Who will be the next Pharaoh?

Osiris is a strange combination of deduction and abstract positioning game. Gameplay is not bad, although quite abstract, but what really stands out are the board and the components. These are made of good quality wood and represent a pyramid and the priest working their way up on it. I really like the apperance of the game in mid play and could easily leave it out on a bookshelf or coffee table just for decorations. |
