|I had purchased the Talisman 4th edition boardgame and was very happy with it. Then I heard hey were coming out with the revised 4th edition and the expansion would only be compatible with the latest edition. I was a little late in ordering the upgrade kit that would make my 4th edition compatible with the Revised 4th edition, so reluctantly, I decided to order the new Revised 4th edition boardgame. I sure am glad I did. Not only is the game extraordinary, but the box itself is fantastic. The game added a new factor: fate -what a great concept!! And the box has enough compartments so the expansions will fit right in the original box. I have added the reaper and the dungeon expansion and it fits all into my original box....very cool!!!
|I really liked this game because i like adventure games. In this game, you choose between 8 or so different characters, then you and your opponents race to the middle region to reach the crown of command. The game is pretty much over when someone gets there because every turn, they roll a die, if its a 4-6 the others lose a life. But,it is very difficult to reach it.but is also fun! I think most Every game by Fantasy Flight is good.Plus this 4th edition is so much better than the previos ones.I recommend it to every game player who likes adventure.
|This is a game that I thought I could only dream of existing, but that just shows you that I'm fairly young and naive (23); this is the 4th edition after all. The great thing about the base game is that Talisman is fairly simple and straight-forward to play (it might as well be compared to an RPG monopoly). But for those with true RPG hearts, there are already close to 8 expansions and more on the way. The characters are all fairly unique and give reason for new strategy each game. Yes, there is the luck of the roll a lot, but Talisman does a great job of not confining you to the same repeatable adventure. If you've got friends who have time and love games - this is for you.
