The 2011 event is over and here's the announcment for our design contest winner....

Protospiel’s 10th Anniversary Card Game Design Contest is complete with Andrew Agard’s entry Card Farm winning the grand prize of having his game published in a limited run and distributed worldwide.

We would like to thank our sponsors
  • ElfinWerks
  • Delano Services
  • Alliance Distribution
For making this possible as well as judges that picked the finalist and the attending designers that took the time out of their busy weekend to play the finalists' games and vote to determine the winner. Card Farm is now undergoing development with its released scheduled for 2012.

Started in 2001 by game designers Stephen Glenn, Dominic Crapuchettes, and Mike Petty, Protospiel is an annual get-together of amateur and established game designers to test and promote nearly-finished game prototypes. The atmosphere is casual, yet everyone is serious about their goals and dreams of publishing games.
