Dungeons & Dragons: Wrath Of Ashardalon   (View Game)
   Ken B.

Nice continuation of the co-op system started by Ravenloft. Not as much of a leap forward mechanically, but there's lots of new stuff and a more purely fantasy-based setting for players to explore. Mostly deciding on which to get will hinge on your preference for the setting. Hardcore fans of the system will definitely want both.

I'm The Boss   (View Game)
   Ken B.
A brilliant classic that's all about making the best deal for you, slapping down cards to stop other players from butting in on your share, and just when you've had enough, playing the "I'M THE BOSS!" card to take charge of the proceedings. If you're not playing this one loudly, you're playing it wrong. Great, great game.

Sylla   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Am not usually a fan of this style of game, but this is extemely well done. Characters can be used for bidding or their special abilities, and players will need to work together to offset some of the worst calamities that are waiting to befall Rome. Gorgeous art and fast-paced gameplay (once you get the turn structure down) keeps everyone involved the whole way through.

Space Hulk: Death Angel - The Card Game   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Does a great job distilling the massive $100 boardgame into a small card game. With multiple paths, an unrelenting enemy, and space marines all with special powers, it will take plenty of teamwork to survive the hordes that stand between you and your objective. And if you hear the hissing of a Brood Lord, well...

Ca$h n Gun$ Yakuza (Cash n Guns Yakuza)   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Adds more players to one of the better party games around...what's not to love? Added bonus, you can speak in bad Yakuza accents, and throw foam shurikens at your pals. That's worth the price of admission right there.

Lords of Vegas   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Love this game...plenty of risk-taking, trading, gambling, and strategy. Fling your cash all over town, try to get the best casinos, and use trades and cutthroat expansion to cut off your would-be competitors. Game should be played to the tune, "This Town....is a Crazy Town!"

Hex Hex XL   (View Game)
   Ken B.
A game of "evil hot potato" where players try not to be the one left holding the Hex. XL version has expanded components, includes cards from the former expansions, and a new way to play with Hexen sticks that will add dexterity to your curse flingin' ways. Definitely a fun party game.

Soccer Tactics World Edition   (View Game)
   Ken B.
A good, tactical game of footy. Plays in "real time", with plenty of dice-rolling and moving about the field, aiming to get the best shot on goal. TIP: Use the included die instead of the spinner.

Lifeboat 3E: Cannibalism expansion   (View Game)
   Ken B.
While the good Dr. isn't the most powerful character, his ability to re-use med kits gives him some insane bargaining power to get other players to do what he wants them to. And the first time players see the Cannibalism card, well....prepare for a shock (then a snack!)

Lifeboat 3rd Edition   (View Game)
   Ken B.
We love this little game...try to keep secret who you love, and who you hate, and strike at your enemy when the time is right, manipulating the whole boat to do your bidding! Backstabbing, negotiation, hoarding...what's not to like on this mean-spirited boat of survivors?

Battlestations Revised (v1.1)   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Ambitious boardgame/RPG hybrid where you mix the action in space with the actions of your characters on board your ship. Boarding parties, missile, scans, daring piloting moves, and lethal hand-to-hand combat....all in the name of science! Endless amount of potential in this box. Can be as much either RPG or boardgame as you wish it to be, and that's brilliant.

DungeonQuest (Dungeon Quest)   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Finally! A reprint of one of the all-time classics. The same brutal dungeon awaits you, and you'll laugh when you get near to the end and fall down a bottomless pit...or even better, when your first step sends you down the same. Includes a new combat system that may not be to the liking of fans of the original, but it's a nice addition and the original combat rules can still be used if you so desire. Great production with tons of chits, bits, and cards.

Descent: The Tomb of Ice Expansion   (View Game)
   Ken B.
One of the best of the stand-alone expansions for Descent. If you've got Road to Legend, be on the lookout for new elements to add. The sculpts here are awesome, and the adventures are well done.

Nostra City   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Fun game where mobsters work together to free their mob boss, but only one mobster can stand tall. That is, unless a snitch works his way in and sabotages his trial. All the while, you've got a business to run and wiseguys you need to get it done. Manage your criminal empire and work together to save the boss from prison...or else.

Ascending Empires   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Brilliant game of space conquest and exploration mixed with....flicking?!?! Don't worry, those of you like me who are insanely clumsy, the flicking isn't all that's going on here. This is a really fun, unique game for 4 that plays in 90 minutes.

A Touch Of Evil: The Supernatural Game   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Nice "Arkham lite" game with plenty of flavor, easier to get into rules, and two modes of play. With four different villains that set the stage for each game, the base game has plenty to offer in terms of variety.

Quarriors! Dice Building Game   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Lighter, more combat-focused version of Dominion-style deckbuilding...with dice! Seriously, when you open this tin and find 130 dice waiting for you....well... Buy this game. It is a massive hit with all types of gamers and is the perfect crossover game.

Warlords Of Europe   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Gorgeous, decidedly old-school "Dudes on a Map" battle game. Several different unit types, lots of dice-rolling, and card play to surprise even the most prepared foe. This box is seriously LOADED with bits. If you were a fan of the old Gamemaster games, this is definitely a spiritual successor.

Battle Line   (View Game)
   Ken B.
One of the better 2-player card games out there, Battle Line is like Lost Cities mixed with Poker. The tactics cards add just enough chaos that if you're not careful, a sure victory can turn into a rout in no time flat. Great game to play with your significant other, and in my opinion *better* than Lost Cities.

Flickin Chicken   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Fun party game that is way better than it has any right to be. Basically a game of rubber chicken golf with a frisbee that you can throw to determine where the hole is...then take your chicken, and flick away!

Zombies!!! (Widescreen Edition)   (View Game)
   Ken B.
While the rules in the base game are pretty barebone, you get the perfect kit for homebrew zombie game rules of your own. 100 plastic zombies!!! There are plenty of rules tweaks online, so you can tailor your zombie experience however you like.

Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game - Pegasus Expansion   (View Game)
   Ken B.
This expansion offers a bevy of options to one of the best board games of all time. Now, there are new characters, a new type of deck, Cylon leaders with hidden agendas (some helpful to the humans!) and a whole new endgame on New Caprica. Pick and choose which elements to add for the best customizable experience. Recommended.

The World Cup Game   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Absolutely one of the best, if not THE best, multi-player sports games of all time. Players try to guide their team all the way through to the footy finals and claim the World Cup! Watching the game unfold is a lot like watching the scores roll in on Sportscenter...players cheer and groan as their teams contend for the title.

Star Trek Expeditions   (View Game)
   Ken B.
A fun co-op that plays just like an episode of the show. Players work together to unravel three different plotlines, trying to stop rebels, convince a planet to join the Federation, and unearth evidence of Klingon tampering. All the while, the Enterprise is in orbit, facing furious attacks from a Klingon battle cruiser. Good, tense fun for Star Trek fans.

King of Tokyo   (View Game)
   Ken B.
This is quite frankly THE perfect filler dice game. Monsters stand tall in Tokyo, players roll dice looking for energy, points, and attack power. Special cards can make your monsters even more powerful. It's a great knock-down drag out multi-player battle royale.

Lord Of The Rings LCG: The Hunt For Gollum   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Adds some new cards, monsters, and a new quest for fans of the Lord of the Rings LCG. The artwork continues to impress, and this expansion adds fan-favorite Bilbo to your available adventurers. Some of these cards will be extremely powerful in the future, as more cards are added that they can search for.

Olympos   (View Game)
   Ken B.
From the same designer as Vinci and Small World, Olympos is the next step in his line of light civ games. This one has added meat on its bones A great hybrid of wargame and eurogame, and plays in two hours or less.

Excape   (View Game)
   Ken B.
When you read the rules, you'll say, "That's it?" Then you'll be tossing the dice, agonizing when to use them or when to risk one more roll, when to try for the higher move spaces and when to play it safe, and howling when your opponent gets lucky and forces you to lose your next move. Simple, but brilliant.

Battleship Galaxies: The Saturn Offensive Board Game   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Beautiful game; the ships are some of the best minis you are going to ever find. Fast-paced gameplay that will appeal to Heroscape fans, the cards, energy, and mission cards will have you blasting enemy ships in no time.

Arkham Horror: Dunwich Horror Expansion   (View Game)
   Ken B.
If you like Arkham at all....buy this! A new board, new goodies, new location cards that will double the base game's encounters, plus the best part with the injury and madness decks. One of the best expansions for a great game.

Descent: The Well Of Darkness Expansion   (View Game)
   Ken B.
If you're only going to get one Descent expansion, this is the one. With ways for the Overlord to now customize his deck, along with new monsters, heroes, and quests, this will more than double your enjoyment of the base game.

Tannhauser Equipment Cards   (View Game)
   Ken B.
These are brilliant and a must-have for Tannhauser fans. See what all your tokens and equipment does at a glance, greatly speeding up gameplay. An inexpensive addition to your game that will improve it several times over.

Incan Gold   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Great press-your-luck game where adventurers go in looking for artifacts and gems, but have to dodge dangerous perils like snakes, cave-ins, and fires. Keep going to get your hands on more jewels, but stay too long, and the dangers of the depths will claim another victim.

Famiglia   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Tight two-player card game with hilarious artwork. Use your cards to draft mobsters to your family, and use their powers to recruit even more. Player with the highest valued family at the end wins. Forces you to draft well and think on your feet.

Power Grid   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Deep gameplay with awesome bits. Although the theme seems boring, you'll be wrapped up trying to create the perfect energy network and cursing when your opponent buys up the goods you need. One of the best boardgames.

Red November *ND new version   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Hilarious game where Gnomes are on a doomed sub, which constantly catches on fire, busts leaks, and otherwise completely falls apart. Determined gnomes race about fixing problems, drinking grog, and using their iron lungs and rubber duckies (!?) to save the day.

Shadows Over Camelot   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Still one of the better games in the modern co-op realm, with the typical lavish Days of Wonder production. When this is laid out on the table, people will crowd around to see what type of game you're playing. The traitor element adds some great paranoia and accusations.

Mystery Rummy Case #1: Jack the Ripper   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Brilliant, brilliant rummy variant. More thematic than you'd think, this is simply a great game. My wife and I have played over a hundred hands and this is by far one of her favorite games.

Cosmic Encounter: Cosmic Incursion   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Must have expansion. The 20 new races will spice up gameplay, and the new rewards deck tosses in some crazy game-swinging effects that will have folks clamoring to join the defense just to earn them. All this and a sixth player, for a great price? Yes, please!

Nightfall: Martial Law   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Do you like Nightfall? Get this. Doubles your draft pool with all new clan vampires and cards to help counter the various werewolves and bloodsuckers that are out to get you. One of the best and most combative deckbuilders out there.

Dominion: Seaside Expansion   (View Game)
   Ken B.
The next level of complexity for Dominion fans looking for expanded gameplay. Duration cards and cards needing chips and counters to track their ongoing effects allow for cards that have increasingly powerful gameplay effects as the game goes on. Pure fun for fans of Dominion.

Dominion: Prosperity   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Awesome expansion; the more expensive and more powerful cards really add some punch to the gameplay. The big money cards also add new paths of strategy...counter the Province rush with the new Colonies, which are worth 10 points each!

Witch of Salem   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Gorgeously produced game that is basically Arkham Horror "light". Extremely challenging co-op for those who are looking to test their skills.

Tannhauser: Operation Novgorod Expansion   (View Game)
   Ken B.
With some of the best pre-painted minis in the business, this expansion adds a needed third faction and a third map for more varied gameplay. Love the Pathfinder line-of-sight system, it's brilliant.

Pickomino (Heckmeck im Bratwurmeck)   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Once you've played this you won't want to play Monopoly anymore. Great family game that will have large groups rolling dice over and over...and after, they'll ask for "one more!" Lots of light dice-rolling fun.

Dominion: Intrigue   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Certainly the best of the Dominion expansions, and a must-have. More interaction, more nasty attacks! A stand-alone set that works great either alone or mixed with the base game.

Dungeons & Dragons: Castle Ravenloft Boardgame   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Brilliant, fast-playing light co-op dungeon crawler loaded with insanely great bits. Work together to explore the depths of Castle Ravenloft. When you don't have time for an RPG or one of the heavier dungeon delves, Castle Ravenloft will fit the bill nicely.

Descent: Journeys In The Dark Second Edition   (View Game)
   Ken B.
We may have had Heroquest as kids, but Descent is the best of that genre of game, all grown up. Tons of high-quality components with a smart dice-based combat system, lots of heroes and monsters, and several scenarios to explore. Then move on to one of the two campaign-based expansions with Road to Legend or Sea of Blood, and you're talking years upon years of quality gameplay. This is the game that younger gamers will talk about fondly years from now. An instant classic.

Cosmic Encounter   (View Game)
   Ken B.
One of the towering classics of board gaming, Cosmic Encounter packs so much gameplay in that box with tons of alien powers and lots of card-slinging, deal-making, and back-stabbing in every game. Seriously...you could just play the base game's aliens for years to come and still have plenty of gameplay in there. This has been a hit with everyone I've ever introduced it to. This will always be a "10" for me.

Campaign Manager 2008   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Takes everything I like about other election games but with a fast-playing game system and an ultra-cool pre-game card draft that will have you honing your deck to pursue the campaign strategy you're after. It may not be based on the most interesting election in history, but the gameplay is solid, and some of the card images will have you groaning at some of the shenanigans that go along with every US Political campaign. Great, fun game.

Bugs   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Good family game that mixes Great Dalmuti with the power cards of Uno. Except you don't want to take that nasty swarm, so you'll be doing everything in your power to avoid "taking" the trick...and those power cards will help you. Kids will get a kick out of this one. Nice, affordable family card game.

Bottle Imp   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Brilliant..takes a very simple trick-taking system and perfectly encapsulates the story of a man with a powerful wish-granting bottle that has terrible consequences if you can't be rid of it before you die...but the only way to be rid of it is to sell it for less than you bought it for. While you have the bottle, you'll be taking tricks with ease (your every wish being granted...) but can you get rid of it before time runs out? Fun, fun game, and a rare trick-taking game that I enjoy with just three.

Boomtown   (View Game)
   Ken B.
A great mix of risk-taking, auctions, and hose your neighbor gameplay, it's just chaotic and light enough to be a perfect auction filler of choice. The cartoony artwork and fun theme will draw gamers in quickly. Can you stake your claim?

Bonnie & Clyde   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Another fun entry in the Mystery Rummy series, this time players are collecting melds of evidence to try and anticipate and catch Bonnie and Clyde for HUGE points. Can you stop their bloody crime spree in time? Let's find out.

Bisikle   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Who needs the more expensive Pitchcar? With sturdy, high-quality track and a cool weighted ball that can even stop on hills...all for less than $30?!? Ridiculous. If you like dexterity games at all, you should buy this one right away.

Apples to Apples - Party Box   (View Game)
   Ken B.
If you're looking for a game that will get your family into playing boardgames with you, look no further. Apples to Apples is great party-game fun for kids and adults alike.

Agricola   (View Game)
   Ken B.
If you're looking for a truly thematic Euro, look no further...Agricola is to Euros what Twilight Imperium is to plastic-filled thematic games. Essentially like Harvest Moon (if you remember that one), you raise your family, grow your farm, and in the end try to outdo your rivals. The box is heavy and loaded with bits, so it's definitely worth the money.

Days of Steam: Locomotives Expansion   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Takes the family-oriented gameplay of the first, fixes a few minor issues, and turns this into a real "gamer's game" version of the base game. A must-own for fans of the original, it makes it better in every way.

Days Of Steam   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Mixes Carcassonne's tile laying with Age of Steam's pick up and deliver, but in a much easier to digest format that's suitable for families. Valley Games is on a roll with their family line. Needs the expansion to truly shine, but this is a fun game even on its own.

Earth Reborn   (View Game)
   Ken B.
This is, bar none, THE best two-player miniatures skirmish game around. The first scenario alone has more narrative and gameplay than most of its competitors. A complex system that brilliantly teaches you as you play, the amount of tiles and scenarios in this box is worth three or four expansions worth of material--yet they're all here, in the base game. BUY THIS.

Tannhauser Board Game (includes revised rules)   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Mixing a cool new line-of-sight system with a Hellboy-inspired theme of World War soldiers against the occult, Tannhauser is a fun romp obviously taking cues from popular First-Person Shooter games. The pre-painted minis are gorgeous, and the combat is fast and lethal.

Cyclades   (View Game)
   Ken B.
It's been since the glory days of Wallenstein and Mare Nostrum that we've seen a Euro/AT hyrbid as good as this one. Gorgeous bits with wild deity powers and monsters mixed with Euro resource management and bidding, this is a game sure to please a lot of crowds. Plus, it's a conquest game that plays 5 in 90 minutes once you have the rules down...pretty amazing feat.

Innovation   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Pardon the pun, but this is one of the most "innovative" games to come out over the last few years. Finally, a card-based, fast-playing civ game where you take your civilization from the stone age to modern day, using your technology and upgrades to get the upper hand on your rivals. The splay mechanic in particular is just brilliantly done. The only knock is that the publisher can't seem to make enough of them! If you see a copy of this great little game, buy it!

Formula D   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Leave it to Asmodee to take a bona fide classic and give it a fantastic upgrade. With new tracks, cooler painted cars, new street racing rules, and yet all of the classic gear-based roll and move action you're used to, you just try playing this game without making "VROOOOM" noises as your cars race around the track. Not possible.

Thunderstone: Dragonspire *ND   (View Game)
   Ken B.
A massive base-game upgrade, Dragonspire offers more, more, more of the fun Thunderstone experience. You can either buy this and add to your large Thunderstone collection, or use this as your jumping-in point. With different settings, tougher monsters, and cooler heroes, this is going to make thematic gamers forget about a little game called Dominion.

Thunderstone   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Thunderstone is Dominion with less "elegance", but a much, much cooler theme. Accumulate adventurers and weapons, all to delve into the dungeon and kill beasties for fortune and glory. It's a great feeling arming up your party and taking down a large dragon. With a large mix of monsters and cards, every game will be a different adventure.

Yomi: Complete First Edition   (View Game)
   Ken B.
I know it's pricey, but you're looking at one of the finest two-player games ever produced. With ten different decks for ten different characters, each playing differently, there's tons of gameplay in this box. For CCGers, this is a no-brainer; you get ten tourney-balanced decks, all ready to go, no more late nights trying to get that perfect deck together. This is, quite simply, Street Fighter in card game form, and well done. Worth every penny.

Cutthroat Caverns   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Perhaps one of the best games to ever be published by an indie company, Cutthroat Caverns is a great mix of co-operation and backstabbing. Players band together to take on ever-increasingly challenging monsters, but watch out--only one of you can win, and only those who strike the killing blow will get the points. It's a blast waiting for one of your "teammates" to try and land the finishing sword stroke, only for you to play a "Trip" and take the glory for yourself. If you're at all a fan of this genre of game, you owe it to yourself to buy this immediately.

Great Chili Cookoff   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Way more fun than you'd ever expect it to be, Great Chili Cookoff takes a fun family theme and mixes in some spicy trick-taking action. Players compete to take the ingredients they need for their recipes; certain high-point cards are useless if they're not in your recipe, but do you want to keep another chef from completing their high-point recipe? Fast-playing, affordable, nicely produced (the wooden pepper tokens are awesome), and great for families. Definitely a gem you may not have heard of.

Nightfall   (View Game)
   Ken B.
One of the best of the new crop of deckbuilders, Nightfall mixes some of the best elements from classics like Magic: The Gathering and Dominion--without the booster-pack burnout of Magic. Tons of combat and player interaction assures that board game and CCG players alike will feel right at home.

Small World Board Game   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Taking the classic "Vinci" and updating it with gorgeous artwork, a fun fantasy theme, and streamlined rules, Small World makes a perfect, ultra-light game of conquest and conflict that families can easily enjoy together.

Ra Board Game   (View Game)
   Ken B.
There are so many things I like about this game I don't know where to start. Simple, simple rules that can be taught in five minutes. But mastering the game...that could take some time. Constantly challenges you to evaluate auction lots on the fly, taking into account variables such as time left in the epoch, the suns that opponents have left, what tiles are up for grabs that will help you (or them) the most...small touches keep you from getting too specialized.

Pirate's Cove   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Good, light pirate fun. Dicefest, but theme carries it. Great gateway title.

Modern Art   (View Game)
   Ken B.
It's good...stripped down auction game with a variety of auctions. The fluctuation and constant valuation makes for some tough deicisions.

Memoir '44   (View Game)
   Ken B.
I certainly wish all wargames were this accessible. Playable in under an hour, tons of great components, historical scenarios that approximate famous battles and offensives just enough to wet your appetite to read more on the depicted battles...well done.

Mamma Mia!   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Fun, all-ages filler. Memory doesn't have to be perfect--you can do a little planning. Also, how you fill your orders can let you hose over the other players. Nice little game, might join the "filler of choice" rotation.

The Lord Of The Rings: The Board Game (Silver Line Edition)   (View Game)
   Ken B.
It's a masterpiece. Yes, I'm a biased Tolkien nut, but this joins War of the Ring as my only other 10. Hits all the right LOTR nerves, but in a totally different way.

Last Night On Earth - The Zombie Game   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Unabashedly old school in every way. Great theme, incredible production values. This one's going to be a classic.

Ingenious (red box)   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Y'know, I don't usually like abstracts but I like this little game. It really is just Euro dominoes with a tweaked funky scoring system the mad Doktor seems so crazy about, but that tweaked system actually makes the game more interesting with more ways to score, and more to worry about than just maxing one score.

Hellas   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Surprisingly, this was better than I expected, and strong on numbers and tactics. Game also develops faster than you expect, so you can't afford to fall behind at all or it will be over in a second. It's a big wargame wallop in a small package, and I like it.

Family Business (2008 edition)   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Thematic fun, lots of "Take That!" Good party game. Who can resist saying, "Nyah! See! You'll never take me alive, copper!"

Fairy Tale   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Pretty solid little game that will remind you of playing a CCG draft. Take a stack of five, choose one, pass 'em on. Once that's done, play them to try and maximize your score, minimize the damage done to your own cards, and harass your opponents whenever possible with devious Shadow cards. It's pretty fun I'd say. Great filler.

Dungeon Twister: Prison   (View Game)
   Ken B.
very tactical, enjoyable game. Manages to hang on to its theme though it seems like it would be thin. I have barely grasped the tip of the strategy for the game. Very nice, worth the price.

Dominion   (View Game)
   Ken B.
A genuinely great little card game, deceptively deep. The large amount of cards ensures few games will play the same. This game is so good it single-handedly launched an entire genre of games.

Detroit/Cleveland Grand Prix   (View Game)
   Ken B.
BIG hit with the family. Nice easily accessible card game disguised as a racing game. A little bit of "take that" by blocking and causing cars to waste movement points.

Cutthroat Caverns: Deeper & Darker (expansion pack 1)   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Really enjoy the new encounters and what they bring to the game; nice fat encounter stack will nicely stave off any feelings of "sameness" after a period of time. The character powers are great; should have been part of the base game, but what can you do? Nice expansion.

Ca$h'n Gun$ (Cash 'n Guns)   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Great mindless fun. Point, threaten, and shoot. Try to be left standing. The extra powers variant is a lot of fun.

Blue Moon - Aqua Expansion   (View Game)
   Ken B.
This might just be my favorite Blue Moon deck. Raw, straightforward power with some nasty tricks. Keep slammin' them with 7-10 strength with alarming frequency. Plus, they squash the little Khind so well, that's a plus in my book.

Blue Moon: Legend (Basic Set)   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Fast playing game that emulates some of the strategy of a CCG but in a much easier to stomach form. Lots to do with bluffing, counters, and trying to get your opponent to over/under commit to a battle.

Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game   (View Game)
   Ken B.
I can say this without hyperbole...this is one of the best games of all time. Best with 5 and a group willing to play their parts, you'll get tension, bluffing, suspicions, accusations, and more. Fantastic game!

Arkham Horror Board Game   (View Game)
   Ken B.
Bona fide, all-time classic. No game collection is complete without at LEAST the base game.

Age of Mythology   (View Game)

This is a great hybrid, serves its license well (in terms of a civ-building real-time strategy game), is pretty thematic, has screw-your-neighbor and military aspects, different paths to victory...I really dig this game. Heavily underrated.

If this light, fun adventure game doesn't put a smile on your face, you don't have a pulse. A great thematic game from start to finish, and enjoyable by pretty much any gaming group imaginable. And those bits...man, those bits!

Twilight Struggle Deluxe Edition *ND   (View Game)

One of the best, tightest two-player games in recent memory, Twilight Struggle brilliantly encapsulates years of the Cold War into a concise, claustrophobic battle for influence of the hearts and minds of nations around the world. Fantastic game!

1960: Making Of A President   (View Game)

Another winner from the Twilight Struggle team. The gameplay is not as varied or complex, but it is a nice, lighter version of their card-driven system, and it focuses on one of the most interesting elections in US History. I learned quite a bit while playing it.

Chaos in the Old World   (View Game)

One of the best multi-player conflict games I've played in recent memory. A game where conquest is possible, but not required...a delicious blend of fighting, maneuvering, and wicked cardplay. Made with the typically lavish FFG standards, this one is a must-have.
