Knowing When to Back Out
The toughest decision of this game is often deciding when to stop. If a player can't or chooses not to continue a battle, he must retreat. When this happens the fight ends. All cards in the combat and support areas will be discarded.

More importantly, the last player who played a character in the battle also will attract one of the dragons toward his side of the playing area. Dragons are like victory points. If you can attract four during the game you'll win immediately. Otherwise, the game is played until a player runs out of cards. The player with the most dragons on his side of the board wins.
