Intrige (German Edition)   (View Game)

Great game as long as no one takes it personally. Then it's just nasty. I've not seen the new edition, which I am told is a card game. The components of the original are 5 player boards that show a building with 5 positions on it, with $10K, $20K, $30K, $50K and $100K salaries, 10 round cardboard tokens (2 each of 5 symbols) in 5 colors, large stack of money, and the Island.

Fun little race game. A lot of my heavy strategy gamer friends don't like it, but most if not all of my Beer & Pretzel gamer friends love it. Lots of luck and backstabbing!

Cave Troll (Second Edition)   (View Game)
   Darkehorse - Columbia Board Gamers
A terrifically fun game from Tom Jolly! I enjoyed this game much better than Drakon. There is quite a bit more strategy and it doesn't suffer from the same end game problem that Drakon does.. Highly, highly recommended. My favorite game new.

This easy to learn and enjoy game is best played with teams. The more teams, the better. The grimaces on your teammates (and opponents) faces will be priceless.

What great bits! Maybe a bit too puzzle-like for some, but it is a fun game and absolutely gorgeous on the table.

Among the best of the "he thinks I think he thinks" bluffing games. Best with 5, and even 6 can play, using some files available on the Net (check links at the Geek).

Great filler, and a good game for time spent with non-gamers.

La Citta (reprint 2007)   (View Game)
Michael Weston - Columbia Board Gamers
Like Princes of Florence? You'll probably like La Citta. Like PoF, each turn builds on what you chose to do before, but you must be more conscious of what your neighbors are doing. Very engaging game for the whole 2 hours, and the scores are usually very close.
