Cutthroat Caverns   (View Game)

It's always a crowd pleaser. Many times someone will be on the brink of landing the killing blow only to have it snatched away by his fellow fighters. A good mix of cooperation and deceit that brings out a lot of laughs and 'take that!'. Looking forward to getting the expansions.

Last Night On Earth - The Zombie Game   (View Game)

Great game, glad I finally got to play it. Playing the zombies was a hoot. Everyone who played enjoyed it.

A great break from the brain burner games. Cut loose with humming/whistling, charades, clay sculpting, and trivia questions. Good with more people and teams of 3+.

Ghost Stories Board Game   (View Game)

Attractive artwork and well researched Chinese ghost theme. The tiles are good quality--did I mention the artwork? The game is hard to win but we have a good time working together and trying nonetheless. A good medium weight game that plays quickly once learned.

A chaotically fun game. Playing with the soundtrack on the computer really enhances the urgency. We missed one threat during training mission but managed to survive the other 2. The backstory is amusing--read the training manual and it's good for some laughs. Game was well received. One guy watching us couldn't stop laughing.

Great figurines that would look awesome painted! The theme is like anti Pandemic...we want to corrupt the world instead of saving it and each god has a different role. I love how depending on which god you play your strat is very different. Khorne is very geared toward fighting and Tzeentch is balanced. This gives the game great replayability. The 2 people we played with were eager to play again.

Great game with good mechanics. I am a lover of Roman history so this was a hit with me right off. Each faction has a power and if you own that faction you get that benefit..e.g., the praetorians and plebians get to (appropriately) assassinate someone (a card). It plays quickly once you've learned the mechanics. This is on my wishlist!

Finally got to play this, I love games where there are a lot of decisions. The receiving of resources is unique, involves dice but with a twist. The overseer and the camel caravan add a bit of a twist. I'd love to play this again.

Le Havre (1st edition)   (View Game)

One of my favorite games for 2 to 4 people, lots of choices and decisions. Gameplay is very satisfying. Better implemented than Agricola.

Descent: Journeys In The Dark Second Edition   (View Game)

Fun cooperative game, especially with a lively evil overlord. The figurines are great and there is a large variety of avatars players can choose. I can't wait to play again!

Condottiere (2nd Edition)   (View Game)

A great medium weight game where you fight to control regions of Italy. Easy to teach and the artwork is good. I am appreciating how good the game is after more plays.

Finally played this game and was not disappointed. I like the many paths to victory and the game requires some thought. You need to adapt your strategy as your opponents can quickly throw a wrench into your plans!

A good medium weight strategy game that is good for up to 6 people. It has more to it that I first realized and am happy I bought it.

Winner's Circle (English version of Royal Turf) *ND   (View Game)

A fun medium weight game that's great fun. It's easy to learn and explain, even non gamers will enjoy it. It features real race horses from the past few centuries including Man O'War, Old Rosebud, Regret, and many others. The fun comes when you try to mess with other people's bets on horses and try to make them lose money in the race. Was a definite hit!

BattleLore   (View Game)

Never played wargames before but I'm glad we grabbed a copy before they ran out. A great 2 player game that's not too heavy and has very clear objectives...kill the other guy's troops and collect the flagbearer. Played the first scenario and it was fun. Lots of scenarios included for replayability. Hope to play more, very soon!

Dice Town   (View Game)

A fun, fast game that the whole family can enjoy. You try to collect poker hands and some rivalry is bound to happen when players go for the same hands. If you roll badly, you can still get good stuff by visiting Doc Badluck. The money in this game is REALLY good quality, not made of paper. I wish all game money were made like this.

Alhambra Big Box   (View Game)
   Kieran
Alhambra is a light game by itself but add in all the expansions and it's a big hit, with lots of variety and replayability. Similar to Carcassonne, you build your own city by bidding on tiles, with a few restrictions. Easy to learn and play, highly recommend!

Pandemic - 2013 Edition   (View Game)
   Kieran
A good cooperative game that makes everyone's different powers useful. When you win, you really feel a sense of accomplishment. The game can be ramped up to a few different levels of difficulty for the more experiences. Pandemic is easy to learn and quick to play, doesn't drag on.

Dominion   (View Game)
   Kieran
A fun card drafting game that makes you change your strategy based on the decks you choose to play. Because of the mixing and matching you can get a lot of replayability out of this game. You can play on easy mode or harder mode just by swapping in a few different card sets. Plus there are 4 expansions which add even mor e to it. Highly recommend this game.

Snatch   (View Game)
   Kieran
A fast paced word game that has plenty of interaction between players. You can steal each other's words to make longer words. Good for a fast game and great for casual gamers.

Ideology : The War of Ideas (Second Edition)   (View Game)
   Kieran
A fun game where you play different government types and based on those you get special powers. Fundamentalism had a jihad power which elicited a lot of laughs, the fascist declaring war on everybody, great fun!

Dice Town   (View Game)
   Kieran
A fun dice game with nice tension at the reveal of the 'hands' and finding someone else is competing against you to rob the bank or mine the gold mine. The cards are a good addition and add some strategic elements to th game. A very nice filler game.

Finca   (View Game)
   Kieran
A very light and easy game to learn and play, Finca can be played by adults or kids 8 and up. The wheel has a unique moving and goods gathering mechanic. This is a game adults and kids 9+ can enjoy together. The graphics of olives, figs, and almonds are pleasant to look at.
