| Revolution! is a simultaneous blind bidding game which picked up on the fact that some games are only best with 3 or 4 players - and published it as such! It's a much better choice than to extend the suggested player count to suit larger groups, and thanks to this limit the game always plays enjoyably. Players have influence in the forms of wealth, blackmail, and force, each type trumping the one before it and each type being harder to acquire. Depending on what each player bids on and wins, they will receive a new supply of bidding tokens for the next round, cubes of control in varoius buildings on the map (to award lump sums at the game's end), or immediate movement along the victory track. It's a well-balanced game and very fun, but don't take it personally if one player tends to end up screwed. It does happen, but we still like to play it again! |
