Pizza Box Football   (View Game)
   Jeff Norton - None

Football, be it watching the game or playing in it, has always been facinating. With the release of Pizza Box Football (PBF), it brings the game home, in a managable package. Kinda kooky to play a game in a pizza box, but it actually works out well. There is quite a few elemets playing during the game, some strategy (which plays to call), competition (which defense to play against your opponent), and management (some games make you manage the time clock - and it runs out fast). It does look rather simplistic, but it simply delivers what it does - a fair representation of gridiron action, with you as the team coach. And, it does that pretty well. I was a tad conserned that my wife (a rabid football fan more than I), would hesitate over the game, but, once she got past her apprehention, she was rolling dice and planning out plays like a vetran. As opposed to Stat-o-matic football, this is far more user (and beginner) friendly... Recomended.. PS - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TiTGeJfSk0) has a pretty good video review of the game and how it plays - highly recomended!
