Decent mystery game, hard but fun.

Android is a unique, engaging and complex game that delivers an unrivaled gaming experience in terms of atmosphere and a feeling of freedom. Board games tend to be highly restricted by their rulesets and often in sharp contrast to more free form games like roleplaying games. Android manages to bring some of that feeling of storytelling and freedom of choice for the characters into a board game setting and it is a blast to play. Highly recommended for ex-roleplaying gamers.

This is a game absolutely dripping with theme. It captures well the dark ambience of the cyberpunk genre. Within the game are plenty of nods to the fathers of this genre like Phillip K. Dick and Bradbury. The mechenics are designed to complement the theme and convey that feeling of hopelessness associated with the genre. It is a perfect game for someone looking for that immersive, in-depth, cyberpunk experience.

Whodunnit? More like who can we blame... Nobody is guilty or innocent by default in this game. The guilty party is, obviously, whoever appears guilty, and the innocents most innocent. This is a great futuristic film noir game, where everyone is trying to pin the murder on whomever they please, link them to an evil conspiracy, and stop themselves from going broke/insane/lonely/having their entire genotype eradicated from a Japanese corporation's cloning vats. In summary, Android is a lot to summarize: a highly challenging, nonlinear, and environmental game.

This game is certainly an experience to play. In a group that can see past the fact that the story is not so much revealed as it is created/manipulated, it really shines.

Set in the distant future, this whodunit game allows you to play one of 5 detectives trying to solve a brutal murder. Very involved (may take longer than the time allotted) and very detailed (lots of bits and counters). No dice involved, play is directed by card play. Every detective has their own plots and opponent hinder other detectives by negatively affecting the resolution of the plots of other players. There is also a conspiracy behind the murder. You earn VP (victory points) by a) solving the murder b) unraveling the conspiracy and c) having your plots resolve happily. The one who has the most victory points wins! Great game, I think.
